Under LCM’s leadership, LCM, AISEMO, TCKT and five injection moulding companies cooperated in the cluster project “ReGuMa” to reduce machine downtime in injection moulding.
Wireless sensors record the vibrations of the machines. The evaluation of this data by means of specially trained artificial intelligence (AI) enables the detection of downtimes. The employees are then immediately notified digitally.
Within one month of introducing the system, one project partner was able to reduce the downtime by 45%. After half a year, the number of standstills had dropped by a total of 60 %!
At the latest project meeting, MKW invited the participants to an impressive tour of their fully automated production halls.
