COMPANY HISTORY
Since its foundation in 2001, Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH, a former Kplus Center, has been transformed into a successful international R&D company under the leadership of Managing Director Gerald Schatz. From 2004, special emphasis was placed on establishing entrepreneurial structures and profitable projects in order to provide secure and long-term workplaces for our employees. The satisfaction of our customers inspires us to continue to grow and further expand our expertise and range of services.

OUR EMPLOYEES
The workforce of Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH has steadily grown since the company’s foundation. Today, LCM employs 120 staff. An additional 40 employees are allocated by our partners to joint projects. Our employees are from the fields of mechatronics, mathematics, computer science, physics, and business administration.

For this reason, we have had the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our company’s activities recorded and offset by purchasing a total of 594 climate protection certificates for the years 2022 and 2024. With these certificates, we support a wind power project in Mauritania and a biomass project in Holland certified by the VCS standard.
We are aware of our special responsibility as a company towards future generations and have acted accordingly. The climate impact of our company, as well as our entire product range, has been determined for us by Fokus Zukunft GmbH & Co. KG has determined for us: Our carbon footprint is 198 tons of CO2 equivalent pollutants per year. To illustrate: On average, a person in Austria causes about 9.65 tons of CO2 per year through his lifestyle.
