Being able to use digital twins of products, processes or services as the basis for decisions in development, production and services will be a key factor in increasing competitiveness in the future.
Supporting small and medium-sized businesses in their first steps towards becoming a digital twin is an important goal of LCM. There is currently the possibility (Start Open Call January 28, 2021) to apply for financial support as part of Change2Twin, a project supported by the European Union. The focus is on the assessment and deployment of digital twins in a wide range of applications (virtual design, smart systems, diagnosis, scheduling, preventive maintenance, customer engagement, etc.).
