Automatic Plugging

In this research project with the company KEBA, a robot was programmed to automatically plug in the charging cable of an electric car.
As soon as the charging port is visible in the camera’s field of vision, a photo is taken and from this the exact position of the port and the required path for the robot are calculated.
The robot then automatically moves the plug into the charging port.
