Active contact flange for surface treatment

Classic industrial robots are strong and fast, but have no way of performing tasks “with feeling”.
FerRobotics has developed great retrofit solutions for this problem and offers a wide range of pneumatic tools (end of arm tools).
Now, together with LCM, we have succeeded in developing an electric force-controlled tool that enables sensitive automated surface treatment of components (e.g. in the automotive industry) without the need for an external air supply.
Requirements
- Design and optimization of a force-sensitive actuator for automated surface treatment
- Minimum installation space
- High power density
- Low weight
Solution
- Actuator for high-precision control of the pressure force
- Actuator concept for series production
- All-electric solution
