Radar measuring system for sewers

Innovative radar technology for precise wastewater measurement
LCM developed a state-of-the-art radar measuring system for monitoring sewers for the Belgian company Flow-Tronic. The system measures the flow velocity and flow volume precisely and without contact – even at very low flow rates. Thanks to intrinsically safe, ATEX-certified electronics, it is ideal for use in potentially explosive areas. The robust, low-maintenance solution supports efficient and reliable wastewater monitoring for municipal and industrial applications.
Requirements
- Accurate determination of consumption and billing in industrial plants
- Can also be used at very low flow velocities
- Operation in potentially explosive environments
Solution
- Radar system for measuring flow velocity and volume in sewers
- Electronics and firmware development
- Prototyping and testing
- ATEX certification due to intrinsically safe electronics (II 2 G Ex ib IIB T4 Gb)
