MIDIH – Energy-efficient cement production

Post Research project Energy-efficient cement production

Within the MIDIH project (Manufacturing Industry Digital Innovation Hubs), manufacturing SMEs are supported with ICT services.

Together with the cement mill manufacturer CEMTEC, we implemented a FIWARE-based condition monitoring and expert system platform in the pilot plant in Enns, Austria.

Process measurements and operator setpoints for series production are automatically saved in a cloud database.

Project partners

LCM developed data analysis methods and tools and the concept of a physics-based and data-driven expert system.

As soon as sufficient production data is available, this expert system can be calibrated. It will then suggest target values to the machine operators of the pilot plant that have been optimized for energy-efficient cement production.
