The design of electrical machines requires complex simulations and optimizations. Both the relevant aspects of the overall system (electromagnetics, rotor dynamics, thermal conditions) and details such as magnetic losses, torque ripple, NVH behaviour, demagnetization, AC losses, efficiency or CO2 footprint must be taken into account.

Magnetic bearings enable lubricant-free, abrasion-free operation for maximum service life and speed. In addition, the rotor and stator can be hermetically separated – without seals, for special requirements with regard to aggressive media and maximum cleanliness.

Simulation workflows and optimization with SyMSpace

SyM 150px

SyMSpace is a modular software platform that can be used to create and automatically optimize simulation workflows. Geometries, materials, simulation steps and post-processing can be combined from predefined modules. An intuitive interface guides you through the parameterization of the workflow, the configuration of the optimization and the visualization of the optimization results.

Regulation and code generation for motor controllers with X2C

X2C 150px

X2C is used for the rapid development of motor controllers on microcontrollers and DSPs. Extensive libraries with predefined control blocks in Scilab/Xcos or Matlab/Simulink are available for the graphical creation of the control scheme. The C code is generated automatically and replaces manual programming. The X2C Communicator and X2C Scope can then be used to monitor and adjust all controller parameters live.
