Review of the OVE IT Colloquium 2025

OVE IT Colloquium Veronika Putz 2025

The future of industrial production is networked, intelligent and data-driven. This year’s OVE IT Colloquium 2025 impressively demonstrated this. Under the guiding theme “Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)” experts from industry and research came together to discuss the latest developments, innovative application examples and security-related challenges relating to the networked industrial age.

The focus is on the digitalization of production and logistics. It calls for powerful, secure and scalable IoT solutions that go far beyond traditional automation. IIoT technologies enable the intelligent networking of machines, optimize processes in real time and at the same time make a decisive contribution to conserving resources – be it through predictive maintenance, autonomous production or precise localization in logistics systems to improve tracking, route planning and fleet management.

A special highlight from our company:
Our colleague Veronika Putz inspired the expert audience with her presentation on the topic:
“Retrofitting for (Smart) Sensors for Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance”

The impetus and discussions at the colloquium made it clear: IIoT is no longer the future – it is the present.
And those who use these technologies intelligently today will secure the competitive advantages of tomorrow.
