Condition Monitoring in Mechanical Engineering KUKA

Quality assurance for robot arms

As part of the project, a condition monitoring system was developed that reliably detects faulty robot drives during the test run in the factory. As a result, failures can be avoided at an early stage and commissioning can be made much more efficient. The system creates transparency about the condition of the drives and increases operational safety.

Methods & Technology

  • Measurement and analysis of vibrations and noise emissions

Results and benefits for customers

  • Classification: healthy / defective
  • Reliable detection, identification and localization of damage
