Adjustable passive vibration damper

Effective vibration reduction for buildings
Buildings are exposed to a variety of loads, for example from wind, earthquakes or usage influences. These can trigger mechanical vibrations that cause discomfort, damage or even structural failure.
Passive vibration absorbers reduce such natural vibrations in bridges, ceilings, stages and other structures. Targeted tuning of mass, frequency and damping effectively minimizes unwanted vibrations.
An absorber consists of a vibrating mass (layered steel plates), mounted on springs and supplemented by viscous damping. The design is customized – tailored to the respective structure, the operating conditions and the available installation space.
The result: a customized solution for vibration reduction.
Applications
- Pedestrian and working bridges
- Building ceiling
- Building structures whose natural vibrations need to be reduced
Advantages
- Each damper is calculated and designed according to the individual needs and requirements of the customer
- The modular design of the vibration absorbers allows for a compact and cost-effective construction
