Customized turbomachines

The development of customized turbomachinery places high demands on design and engineering and requires the interaction of different specialist areas. In simple applications, a classic approach may be sufficient – but this quickly reaches its limits when it comes to more complex requirements. Especially when an optimally coordinated overall system is required, a holistic approach pays off. All relevant sub-aspects are taken into account and their interdependencies are coordinated – from fluid dynamics, electromagnetic drive, strength and rotor dynamics through to thermal design with cooling and the analysis of vibrations and acoustics.

With our development tool SyMSpace, several of these disciplines can be considered simultaneously and optimized holistically – for more efficient development processes and high-performance solutions.
