Professional exchange and international networking: Paula Reimer at the FreeTwinEV consortium meeting and summer school at the University of Twente<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our colleague Paula Reimer took part in the consortium meeting of the EU project FreeTwinEV<\/em> at the University of Twente in May, where she presented LCM’s work within the project. In productive discussions with the project partners – the University of Twente, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the consulting firm Addsen – the current project status was analyzed and the next steps defined. One highlight was the tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Center with a focus on modern production technologies such as additive manufacturing, 3D quality control and the assembly of battery packs using collaborative robots. A visit to the ultra-modern NanoLab on the extensive campus also offered exciting insights into current research infrastructures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paula Reimer then took part in the multi-day “Summer School on Digital Twin Development for Battery Systems: Electrical, Mechanical and Multiphysical Modeling”. The event offered a comprehensive range of further training: from system engineering in the context of digital twins to the fundamentals and applications in battery systems for electric vehicles and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to determine the condition of batteries. Practical workshops on Python-based modeling of electrochemical processes, CAD design of battery packs and finite element simulations rounded off the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the professional gain, the event offered excellent opportunities for international networking, especially with young researchers from academia. Participation underlines Paula Reimer’s commitment to technology transfer and strengthens our team’s position in the European research context. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
