The system collects data on the attenuation and phase shift of a penetrating electromagnetic wave with a signal frequency of 1 GHz from around 200 spatially distributed antennas.<br>The architectural independence of the measuring units means that individual measurements can be parallelized, which significantly reduces the overall duration of a measurement <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system can complete a full measurement sequence in a matter of seconds, whereas commercially available systems take hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e0a2b8ee0f68e1d9936bc038a448308d\" style=\"color:#009fe3\">Advantages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to current knowledge, electromagnetic tomography is harmless to the human body and therefore suitable for continuous use. The system has a compact design and can be used on the move &#8211; for example in ambulances to detect strokes more quickly and initiate life-saving measures earlier. A graphic reconstruction algorithm enables the type and location of a bleed to be displayed. An automatic evaluation is currently under development and is intended to make the application even easier. A prototype is currently being clinically tested. The research work was awarded the EuMC Young Engineer Prize.     <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div
