From Model to Impact: Battery Summer School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The area of mobility makes it particularly clear how technological developments are shaping our everyday lives. It is not just us humans who are on the move more than ever before, but also goods of all kinds. The ever-growing interconnectedness of the world must become more efficient and environmentally friendly in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then join our Battery Summer School: From Model to Impact<\/strong> and learn how fundamentals, modeling, systems thinking and European collaboration work together in the field of battery development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why take part?<\/strong>
Battery technologies are at the heart of the energy transition and play a crucial role in both new mobility and stationary storage systems. In order to develop efficient, reliable and innovative battery solutions, it is important to understand not only the technological fundamentals, but also the methods and tools that support modelling, optimization and system design. This Summer School offers a sound introduction to battery technologies and at the same time practical insights into the path from models to industrial and collaborative impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can you expect?<\/strong>
The program teaches you the basics of modern battery technologies and provides insights into electro-thermal battery modelling using network models. Theoretical content is supplemented by practical hands-on sessions with OpenModelica and the optimization platform SyMSpace, so that you can apply what you have learned directly. Industry examples open up additional perspectives beyond the academic context. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, systems engineering methods will be presented in order to master complex systems such as battery modules. As the implementation of ideas often requires the right partners and suitable funding opportunities, the program also includes a separate session on how concepts can be transferred into cooperation projects within the framework of Horizon Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To further promote creativity, teamwork and initiative, the program is rounded off with a mechaton<\/strong> where participants develop their ideas in an interactive setting. A social program on the first evening also offers an excellent opportunity to get to know other participants, exchange ideas and build an international network.
