The development of complex systems often results in conflicts with regard to target values. An automated optimization of the countless parameters may greatly assist.
In cooperation with the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH, the Fraunhofer-Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD developed the tool Paved (Pareto Front Visualization for Engineering Design). The visual representation in Paved supports understanding the various alternatives within the multi-dimensional parameter space and the decision making.
