ENABLE-S3 | European Initiative to Enable Validation for Highly Automated Safe and Secure Systems

The ENABLE-S3 vision is a world full of highly automated and autonomous systems that have been reliably validated and are secure.

The importance and number of autonomous systems (e.g. lane and distance assistants in vehicles) is rising considerably. The validation of such systems is, however, still associated with great effort and uncertainty. The challenges are the same in many industry segments and for this reason ENABLE-S3 includes partners from the following six sectors: automotive, aerospace, rail, maritime, health and farming.

EU-LOGO-Enable S3In terms of LCM’s involvement in ENABLE-S3, it will mainly be contributing expertise in the area of autonomous driving on motorways. On the basis of actual measurement data, simulation models will be created for the behaviour of road users and these will be used to test autonomous systems in simulations.
