LCM GmbH has joined an alliance with the Belgian Competence Center for Mechatronics (FMTC) in Leuven and FIMECC, a Finnish network of enterprises and research organizations, to form a mechatronics alliance.

The goal of this new alliance is to jointly conduct research and development activities on an international level. “This creates optimum benefit for the comprehensive customer network of the three partners,” report the respective CEOs.

LCM and FMTC have already enjoyed a relationship for two years.

Numerous members of FIMECC have also visited LCM repeatedly. “This triggered the idea that we could form an alliance to conduct joint projects,” says Dipl.-Ing. Gerald Schatz, CEO of LCM.

The agreement for the alliance was signed in December 2012 in Leuven. The next meeting of the alliance takes place in June in Tampere in the realm of a large-scale meeting of FIMECC.

This work has been [partially] supported by the Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM) in the framework of the Austrian COMET-K2 programme.
