sensors and communication /

Business Unit Manager: Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Thomas Buchegger MSc

In recent decades we have witnessed an increasing tendency to merge sensoris, communication technology and digital signal processing. Core areas of this business unit are the integration of metrological methods and sensors in machines and systems in the context of the overall process flow, and the wireless connection of sensors to industrial computers or embedded systems with corresponding signal processing.

Wireless communication

Development and support in the design of communication applications from ultramodern mobile wireless systems to sensor networks

  • Development of customer-specific wireless solutions
  • Support in the introduction and further development of wireless systems
  • Efficient modularization and standardization

Data logging and signal processing

  • Computer-aided analysis of measurement data and simulation of sensor systems
  • Design of hardware prototypes and code porting to DSP platforms

Contactless sensors

For measurement and analysis purposes, LCM develops sensor systems and measurement process for all branches.

  • Microwave sensors for object detection (radar)
  • Active and passive RF ID systems for identification and monitoring
  • Acoustic sensors
  • Tracking and positioning systems
  • Hardware development
  • System simulation
  • Digital signal processing
