Development, design calculation and optimization of electromagnetic actuators
- Optimization of electromagnetic actuators (valves, PMSM, BLDC, etc.) with respect to efficiency, weight, cost, etc. via modern finite element methods; creation, running and evaluation of thermal and dynamic simulations
Prototype construction
- Design and construction of functional models and prototypes of electronically commuted drives, high-torque motors and electromechanical actuators
Software for power and signal electronics
- Microcontroller- and DSP-based controls for electric actuators and power or signal electronics with the help of a flexible rapid prototyping system for automatic code generation
Engine test bench
- Measurement and protocolling of engine characteristic curves, efficiency and power loss, and measurement of vibration, temperature and transverse forces
